I have been playing around with the trial version of this windows timing machine. In my opinion it's an amazing tool. I believe the clock MUST be in beat first.

Once this is acheived the timing machine will tell you how fast or slow it's running. The ideal is 50/50. This could be a great timesaver to adjust the pendulum. I hooked it up to a Shatz 1000 day and from the start I was only a tiny bit fast. I'm going to play around with it for a few days and if it works good i'll but the registration.

I email him my recording and he told me where to put the settings. When i finally did get it all set up and used it on one of my 400 day movements it showed that it was either fast or slow but alot even though it was right on the money. I had to wait for some other components to arrive like the contact microphone and the beat amplifier from Radioshack as the author suggested.
