James MorrisonBroken Strings

I think this song is about two people who loved each other, initially thinkin' what they had was meant forever when it really wasn't. He definitely loved her deeply since he frequently mentioned how much he tried to hold on, but when he tried to salvage what was left from the relationship, it eventually comes to a reality when he realized what they once had was no longer there. Evidently, what had happened (the circumstances may vary, in my case was the difference in our priority) made him loved her a little less than before. General CommentIt does make sense that it could be about her cheating on him, although I think it's just about a sad, dying relationship. I don't think they'd sing the middle verse & chorus together if it were about cheating. They both seem to mutually agree that they're 'turning into dust' and the relationship's just not what it used to be.

'The truth hurts' because they've been trying to tell themselves they're still deeply in love, when in reality they aren't. Programming Grails Torrent. One of the saddest songs I've heard in a long time, very moving and very relatable for a lot of people:( Thumbs up to James Morrison. General Commentthis song is definatly the saddest song I've heard in a long time.

The lyrics are so real and raw and I can't listen to the song without wanting to cry. This is what happened with me and my ex, we'd been together for 4 years and then we realised enough was enough. I don't think the song is about cheating but I can understand why people may see it like that because of the line; 'But you broke me, now I can't feel anything.'

I think this song is more about a long relationship where nothing in particular has gone wrong, they've just slowly drifted apart and are falling out of love. They don't want to admit it because they're remembering the love they once had but the longer they lie to themselves the worse it's going to get, hence the lyric 'The truth hurts, lies worse' It's their way of telling each other that although it hurts to admit that they're falling out of love, in the long run it'd be better than a lie.

This just seriousley reflects mine and my ex's relationship and it is a sad thing. People do fall out of love and grow apart and sometimes it's too late to fix it like in this song. I really do give a thumbs up to James Morrison as this really is the most moving song I have heard in a long while. General CommentPersonally, my opinion of the song's meaning is this. Two people loved each other a lot, staying together for quite some time. But, as time goes by, minute by minute and hour by hour, they slowly drift apart further.

He then finds out she cheated on him, but he still loves her and tries to forgive her but he can't as she had broke his heart and his trust in her yet he still stays together with her, hoping that they could go back to the way it was before eventhough he already realized they're falling out of love as time passes swiftly yet slowly. She loves him and regrets cheating on him and there's still love but it's slowly deteriorating day by day. He knows this as well but because he couldn't trust her again because of what she did to him he just can't fix it all the while longing for the way it was before because its like he's wondering 'Will she do it to me again?' , fearing that she would. And some part of him still can't accept the fact that she loved him yet she still cheated on him.

It's like you have five strings, and one by one, it breaks. Hence the title 'Broken Strings'. It's one of the most beautiful, sentimental songs out in the world. Eventhough certain people may not like this song, the lyrics are true and moving and they can relate to it although they wouldn't really want to admit the fact.
