Born to Albanian parents, Bebe Rexha spent much of her childhood being passionate about music, and participated in a number of musicals throughout high school including “Hello, Dolly!”, “Jesus Christ Superstar”, and “Fiddler on the Roof”. Inspired by the likes of Tori Amos, John Legend, and The Temptations, Rexha won the Best Teen Songwriter award at The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences' Grammy Day event, which led to the young songwriter meeting a host of successful producers. In 2010, Rexha begun writing and recording songs in producer Sam Hollander’s studio, before being approached by Fall Out Boy’s bassist Pete Wentz. With the idea of forming an electro, alternative group with Jamaican influences the duo Black Cards was born, and Rexha singed with Wentz’ Decaydance label in partnership with Island Def Jam. Following a three-month period of courting labels, the singer-songwriter signed with Warner Bros. Records in 2013. By this point Rexha had penned popular songs including Selena Gomez’s “Like a Champion”, Nikki Williams’ “Glowing”, and Eminem’s Billboard Hot 100 No. One hit “The Monster”. The singer’s solo debut single “Comeback Kids” was released to her SoundCloud later in 2013, after which she collaborated with EDM group Cash Cash on their single “Take Me Home”. In anticipation of her debut album, which features esteemed producers including David Guetta, Fraser T Smith, and Freuqency, Rexha released her official debut single “I Can’t Stop Drinking About You” in March 2014. In December the single “I’m Gonna Show You Crazy” followed, finding success in Finland, Norway, and Sweden, before releasing the subsequent single “Gone”.
